Panto booked already!

It might only be April, but Rutherglen Town Hall has already booke d u p it ’s Christmas panto for this year!
This year will see the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty being brought to the stage.
And popular variety favourite Edward Reid will be playing a key part, having starred in last year’s popular show, Aladdin.
The plot follows the traditional Sleeping Beauty story, as the king and queen of the land celebrate the birth of their beautiful baby daughter by throwing a huge party to which everyone is invited.
However, the wicked Fairy Horrendabelle has got wind of the news and is planning a terrible surprise of her own.
Armed with an evil spell and a spinning wheel she places a curse on the baby princess that only true love’s kiss can break. It’s up to the good fairies, Fairy Lovabelle (who’ll be played by Edward) and Fairy Sensibelle to save the day!
They’ll also get a little extra help from Muddles the brave but ever so silly court jester.
The festive treat is always a hit with locals and has sold out most performances in recent years.
This year it’ll be running from Saturday ,December 12, until Wednesday, December 23.
Tickets are on sale now for all the performances, priced at £12.
