ScottishTory leader is backingTaylor
Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson paid a visit to the Rutherglen and Hamilton West constituency to back candidate Taylor Muir at the weekend.
Ms Davidson was in Hamilton to put forward the case for keeping her party in power.
It was the second time Ms Davidson had been in the constituency recently, having canvassed support in Burnside earlier in the campaign.
Mr Muir said his party was the only one that would stand up for the Union: “It was great that Ruth made her second visit to the constituency of the campaign.
“Our message, so strongly put forward by Ruth in recent weeks , has been well received across Rutherglen and Hamilton West.
“If you believe that Scotland must remain a part of the UK, then the clear choice is to vote for the Scottish Conservatives. We are the party who has presided over the fastest growing economy in the G7 and are moving towards full employment. A vote for me is a vote to continue with a plan that is working.”
