Blood donors wanted

Blood donors are wanted i n Ru t h e r g l e n and Cambuslang.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion will return next week, on July 6, to Rutherglen Town Hall, from 2-3.45pm and from 5.15-7.30pm.

The following day, they will visit the Croftfoot Parish Church hall, at 318 Croftpark Avenue, from 4-7.30pm.

Male donors can give blood every 12 weeks.

That’s approximately every three months or four times in a 12 month period.

Female donors can give every 16 weeks or approximately every four months.

Most people are able to give blood. As long as you are fit and healthy, weigh over seven stone 12 lbs (50kg) and are aged between 17 and 66 (up to 70 if you have given blood before) you should be able to give blood.
