Busy time ahead at park
The Friends of Cambuslang Park have got their 2015 schedule of events underway.
They have a wide and varied programme of events lined up for the year, with the return of many old favourites, and some new ones too.
It all kicked off with a chance to meet the South Lanarkshire rangers at the park, where there were quizzes, activities and scavenger hunts for the youngsters.
Friends chairman Edward Cais said: “The weather was glorious for our dropin nature event.
“Several children and adults came along to answer nature quizzes and identify animals from cards placed in the flower beds around the main Cairns Road entrance.”
The park will be busy again this Saturday, May 9, with their spring clean event taking place.
Edward said: “Our next event will be the spring clean-up and planting on Saturday, from 2-4pm.
“We shall gather at the main Cairns Road entrance where everyone will be welcomed, supplied with equipment and given instructions. Everyone is welcome to attend.
“There is plenty to be done if you want to contribute to making the park an even better place to visit.
“Please come dressed appropriately, as if you were going to the park for an adventure!”
