Teddy big day

Rutherglen and Cambuslang’s community radio station are looking for volunteers to join their team.

CamGlen radio, currently based at the Aspire Building in Rutherglen, turned in to a full-time station just ealier this year.

Volunteers are involved in all aspects of CamGlen Radio operations and broadcasts, ranging from presenter and production roles to behind the scenes work including sound engineerin­g, marketing, scheduling, website maintenanc­e, training delivery and much more.

There are a diverse range of volunteers involved in CamGlen Radio.

Their volunteers come from a range of different background­s and experience­s.

Running from 10.30am at the Cairns Road entrance, everybody is invited to bring their favourite teddy bear along.

There is always plenty going on during the day, with previous picnics having featured petting zoos, and lots of other fun events for all the family.

A number of other events are planned over the coming weeks and months. These are: Saturday, August 8, family fun day, 1– 5pm, Cairns Road entrance. Sunday, September 6, Bark in the Park, 1.30pm, Cairns Road entrance. Saturday, September 12, autumn clean up and planting, 2–4pm, Cairns Road entrance. October - Ghost Hunt ( to be confirmed). Saturday, October 31, Halloween event, 2-4pm, Cambuslang Parish Church Kirkhill hall, Cairns Road.
