Pupils left in a school daze

-

Although I am not from South Lanarkshire, our children go to Trinity High School which is our catchment area.

Before the schools stopped in June we had a bus which picked up 11 children from Fullarton Park which then travelled to Carmyle where around 35 children were picked up and they all travelled together to Trinity High.

Since the change of mileage allowance it has been decided that our 11 children are no longer allowed on the bus but have been given the route of Fullarton Avenue, Fallside Road, Causeway side street, London Road where we have to cross at numerous roundabouts, down Fullarton Road across the slip roads at the M74 down to Bogleshall Road where the kids have to cross at the roundabout where there are no crossings, then onto Cambuslang Road and up to Trinity.

We are getting no support from anyone at our Council offices such as Labour councillor Martin Neill, John Mason MSP or Natalie McGarrie, the new SNP MP.

We had done support from Martin Neill at the beginning but he stopped replying to us, Mr Mason has met with us once or twice but has done nothing and Natalie after various attempts to contact her has agreed to walk the route but that has still to be seen. Jean Birrell, via email.
