A host of ACE (Arts, Culture and Exercise) activities are available to youngsters throughout Rutherglen and Cambuslang

Membership to the South Lanarkshir­e Council-run scheme is available to children under the age of 16 for £22.45 a month, although some may be open to discounts.

Kids and young people can also pay-as-they-go at many of the activities.

There will be adult and child swimming classes at Stonelaw Community Sports Centre every Monday, and tennis classes the same day.

Badminton classes will be every Tuesday at Stonelaw, and both football and disability football will be on Wednesday’s.

Girls club will be on Thursday’s, and athletics on the same day, both at Stonelaw.

Saturday brings both football and super soccer to Stonelaw.

South Lanarkshir­e Lifestyles in Eastfield will also host adult and child swimming every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.

There will be gymnastics classes for 18 months to five years at Springhall Community Centre on the same day. Gymnastics classes will also be held at Fernhill Community Centre on Friday’s.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will also see the bouncing high classes held at Cathkin High.

The Lifestyles centre will hold dance classes every Wednesday, while Westburn community centre will hold dodgeball sessions on Fridays. The Toddling Tots group in Overtoun Park are looking for new members.

Parents are invited to walk around the park with your Toddler finding the hidden pictures on the way.

The group meet every Thursday from 10am.

Anyone interested should meet at the gate on Overtoun Drive (lower end).

The walk is led by Friends of Overtoun Park members and will take place even in wet weather.
