Be a Christmas cracker for this party season

Rutherglen Reformer - - Dressing With Danielle -

The first doors of the advent calendars have been opened, mince pies are filling the shop shelves and the tinsel is on the tree.

December is here and it is officially party season. This week I have teamed up with local shop I Love Fashion in Rutherglen Exchange Shopping Centre to search for some fabulous Christmas party wardrobe fillers.

Now, Christmas time can only mean one thing – sparkles – and I have found some gorgeous, affordable looks for this season.

Thebeautiful black and gold dress on the right would be great for your Christmas office party. Paired with a black velvet-style clutch, this is a sophisticated look that is not going to break the bank.

The halter-style neckline is very flattering for ladies with a bigger bust size and the contrast in colours going from gold to a plain black skirt gives the dress the perfect shape and nips in just right at the waist.

This is the perfect dress to flaunt your figure.

The peplum is one of my favourite looks.

The gorgeous dress on the left has Christmas written all over it. It’s loud, it’s sparkly, it’s beautiful.

Sequin-covered dresses are a difficult look to feel comfortable in, as they can be sharp around the edges and quite stiff, but this dress is very comfortable with plenty of movement and it is lined with a soft material.

The peplum helps minimise the waist line and hips and gives the dress a lovely, unique shape.

I paired this dress with a leather-look, black and silver clutch bag and plain, black tights to accentuate the colour of the dress.

This is the season to stun and red satin-style, long- sleeved dress below left that will not be a difficult task.

This style of dress hangs beautifully over the bust and midriff and hugs neatly on to the thighs, which gives it a very flattering shape for most figures.

The material has a lovely shine and Kimberley described it as warm and “brilliant if you’re stuck in the cold, waiting on a taxi home”.

Paired with a red and silver shiny clutch bag, also from I Love Fashion.

You are gold! Bring in the bells this year in the classy number below right.

Again I have chosen the peplum dress but with a bit of a twist. This is a perfect dress to highlight the hips and accentuate leg length with the graduated peplum style. I have matched with a gold clutch bag and kept jewellery to a minimum.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I’ll see you all in 2016.
