Guilty of as­sault

A man has pleaded guilty to as­sault­ing a traf­fic en­force­ment of­fi­cer.

Jack Ja­conelli, of Lloyd Court, Ruther­glen, seized Joseph Han­ni­gan and re­peat­edly pushed him on the body.

Ja­conelli ( 40), also be­haved in a threat­en­ing man­ner by shout­ing and swear­ing at the of­fi­cer and re­peat­edly at­tempt­ing to re­turn a traf­fic ticket to him in an ag­gres­sive man­ner.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened at Vir­ginia Street, Glas­gow, on Jan­uary 7 this year.

At Glas­gow Sher­iff Court, this week, the case was ad­journed un­til Jan­uary 14, 2016, for so­cial work re­ports to be pro­vided.
