Guilty of assault

A man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a traffic enforcement officer.

Jack Jaconelli, of Lloyd Court, Rutherglen, seized Joseph Hannigan and repeatedly pushed him on the body.

Jaconelli ( 40), also behaved in a threatening manner by shouting and swearing at the officer and repeatedly attempting to return a traffic ticket to him in an aggressive manner.

The incident happened at Virginia Street, Glasgow, on January 7 this year.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court, this week, the case was adjourned until January 14, 2016, for social work reports to be provided.
