Bottle assault charge is denied

A Cambuslang man faces trial over claims that he assaulted two men.

Colin MacDonald, of Campsie View, is alleged to have punched Riccardo Arcari on the head.

He is also charged with strking Frazer Dougan on the head with a bottle to his severe injury.

MacDonald (20), is said to have carried out the attacks on March 14, 2014, at Wallace Street, Rutherglen.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court he denied the charges and trial was fixed for May 6.
