Kelly card winner
A P6 pupil from Cambuslang won MSP James Kelly’s Christmas card competition.
Park View pupil Jenna Anderson was awarded first prize by Mr Kelly during a visit to the school last Friday.
He presented Jenna with a gift voucher, selection box and a printed copy of her winning card.
Mr Kelly visited primary schools across Rutherglen, Cambuslang and Blantyre to hand out prizes and certificates to all those who entered the competition.
The joint runners-up were Brooke Shand from Loch Primary and Erin Kelly from St Cadoc’s Primary.
Mr Kelly said:“The standard of entries for this year’s Christmas card competition was exceptionally high.
It was very difficult to pick a winner but Jenna’s stunning design stood out and it has already received plenty of compliments from the people I’ve sent it to. We have some wonderful schools in Rutherglen and Cambuslang and clearly we have some very talented young artists.”
The Christmas card competition was sponsored by PTS Clean, Rutherglen Exchange, and Rutherglen Tesco Extra.
