Support available this Christmas

-

The Cambuslang Bereavement Group is encouraging people struggling to cope with loss this Christmas to make use of its service.

The festive season can be especially difficult for the bereaved, and the group hopes to reach out to help those in need of support.

A spokesperson said:“‘Tis the season to be jolly’is the message we hear on all sides at this time of year.

“We know perfectly well that everything in the garden is not lovely, far from it, but most of us can cope with what is almost an obligation to appear to be cheerful.

“People who have been bereaved, particularly those who are facing Christmas and the New Year without a dearly loved partner, member of the family, or close friend, for the first time, or even some time ago, may be finding it hard.

“If you are one of those struggling just now, and if you feel that talking about your loss would be of help to you, please think about coming to see us at the Cambuslang Bereavement Support Group.

“We meet weekly on Wednesdays from 10am till noon in the Morriston Room of Cambuslang Parish Church, Arnott Way, (just off Cambuslang Main Street) You can be sure of a warm welcome in a relaxed atmosphere.

“We are there to listen to what you want to say. It can be comforting to know you are being heard.”
