Threats denied

A man is accused of uttering racist remarks and acting in a threatening or abusive manner.

John Purdie, of Springhall Court, Rutherglen, is also alleged to have struck a car window, shouted and swore.

The offences are said to have taken place at Kings Park Avenue on September 2, 2014.

This week at Glasgow Sheriff Court Purdie ( 67), denied the charges and trial was set for January 15.
