Doctor Kyle leads way in men’s race
Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers overcame muddy conditions to claim another batch of championship medals.
The team were at Bellahouston Park on Sunday, December 5, to lift a good share of West District individual and team awards.
Kyle McLellan led from the front and won the senior men’s race. His performance was all the more creditable as he had completed a 14hour shift the day before as a junior doctor at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The Harriers team eventually came second overall, behind Shettleston, with good finishes from Stuart Gibson who came seventh, Robert Gilroy in eighth, Kenny Campbell in eleventh, Kerry-Liam Wilson, 13th and Iain Reid in 14th.
Alistair Campbell had his best cross country run to date but his 15th place was not enough to earn him a team medal.
