They need wood to build

-

A group that supports people to make beautiful furniture while boosting their skills and confidence is seeking donations of wood for building projects.

Handy Folk Group works with donated and recycled wood to create children’s mud kitchens, picnic tables, bird boxes and larger pieces.

An arm of Healthy‘n’Happy Community Trust, the group is reliant on donations of wood to complete projects and is particularly keen to receive offcuts or decking which is especially good for making outdoor furniture.

The group meets every Monday between midday and 5pm at Springhall Community Centre, Cruachan Road, Rutherglen and is always keen to welcome new members.

To register an interest in joining the group, or do donate wood email volunteering@healthynhappy.org.uk
