Two Cambuslang teenagers have been accused of assaulting police constables.

Michael Beckett, 18, and James Beckett, 19, of West Farm Grove are claimed to have caused harm to the officers at Wallace Street on October 31, 2015.

James Beckett is alleged to have assaulted the constable by punching him on the head causing him to fall to the ground.

Michael Beckett is also claimed to have punched an officer repeatedly on the body.

The two teenagers and another male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing and refusing to resist.

They were also alleged to have obstructed or hindered four police officers in the execution of their duty and did struggle violently with them.

This week at Glasgow Sheriff Court all three men pled not guilty to the charges.

A trial diet was continued to March 24.
