Enjoyable evening for mums and dads

- Douiglas Dickie

Parents and carers in Rutherglen and Cambuslang are being urged to attend the annual Parents as Partners Conference.

This year’s event, entitled ‘Working Together to Support Learning’, will take place on Thursday, March 17 from 7-9pm at the council offices, Almada Street, Hamilton.

‘ Making a difference - working together to support children’s learning’ is the essence of the council’s education strategy which has been developed to improve both the quality and extent of parents’ involvement in their child’s learning.

This year parents and carers have chosen the theme for the conference: Keeping our children safe, the wee blether.

Schools, early years and parent groups are invited to encourage parents and carers to attend as it promises to be an enjoyable learning evening for mums, dads, carers and those who support and work with children and young people.

If you are a parent or carer you can book your place by emailing your details to parents@southlanarkshire. gov.uk
