There are some simple things you can do to reduce your chances of getting cancer. Things like:
Not smoking or using any form of tobacco.
Being more active, every day, spending less time sitting. Being a healthy weight. Having a healthy diet (eating more vegetables, whole grains and fruit and limiting processed meat, red meat and food and drink that’s high in sugar, fat or salt).
Limiting the amount of alcohol you drink.
Avoiding too much sun.
