Denies charge

A Cambuslang woman has been charged with drink driving.

Helen Stewart, 48, of Glenburn Avenue, is alleged to have driven the car on Dukes Road and elsewhere in Glasgow on August 21, 2015.

It is claimed she had consumed so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath was 78 micrograms in 100 millilitres which exceeded the prescribed limit of 22 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

This week at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Stewart pled not guilty to the charge.

Trial was set for May 6.
