Quiz your candidates at hustings event

The four general election candidates vying for votes in Rutherglen and Cambuslang will be put to the test later this month when a hustings is held.

Burnside Community Council will be hosting the event on April 28 when a series of questions will be put to constituency candidates Taylor Muir, Conservative, James Kelly, Labour, Robert Brown, Lib Dem, and Clare Haughey, SNP.

The forum will be chaired by Robert Rowatt and the format will be similar to the BBC’s‘Question Time’, with brief statements from the candidates before an open question and answer session.

Members of the public are invited to submit questions they would like asked prior to the event.

The hustings will get under way at 7.30pm at Burnside Blairbeth Church building, Church Avenue, Burnside.
