Artists enjoy an evening withWatt

World renowned motivational speaker, folk singer and composer Watt Nicol enjoyed an evening meeting Rutherglen artists recently.

Hosting Brushstrokes & Ballads, Watt viewed works by the gifted artists before telling stories and singing songs related to themes highlighted in the paintings, sketches and sculptures on display.

Guests enjoyed a night of fun and laughter, listening to the stories and ballads from Watt and friends, including former Miss Scotland Doreen and the trio“The Midgies”.

Organised by Rutherglen West & Wardlawhill Church’s Frienship Cafe, the bistro themed event was a great success, raising £656 for Beatson Cancer Care - a charity supported by the Brushstrokes & Ballads team.
