A Cambuslang man has been charged for joining another man and assaulting a male at his home.

David Begg, 30, of Mansion Court and Craig Wardrop of Larkhall are claimed to have repeatedly punched the man on his head to his injury on November 8, 2014.

Wardrop is believed to have carried out the offence while he was on bail.

This week at Glasgow Sheriff court, both men pled not guilty to the charge.

Trial was set for May 4.
