Group’s move to improve

-

Residents in Burnside still have time to make their views on the future of Douglas Avenue Park in High Burnside.

Burnside in Bloom are looking for ideas to help improve the facility, which includes a play area and equipment.

Secretary Malcolm Piggott said: “We’ve had quite a lot of interest.

“The wee park is down on its heels a bit when you compare it to the likes of Overtoun Park, which is a model we have looked at.

“I was brought up near it and a lot of people in the group go through it with their grandchildren.

“The play equipment is very old, it is not adequate and it doesn’t really excite anyone.”
