Rutherglen Reformer

Make sure you’re registered to vote

-

Rutherglen and Cambuslang residents have just a few days left to make sure they’re registered to vote in the Scottish Parliamentary Election on May 5.

Each person now has responsibility to register individually and it is quick and easy to do this online at www.gov.uk/ register-to-vote.

However, you can also download a form and fill it in by hand via the About My Vote web site at www. aboutmyvote.co.uk.

If you’re not sure if you are already registered to vote, the Electoral Registration Office can tell you. Contact the office at: The Electoral Registration Officer, Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board, North Stand, Cadzow Avenue, Hamilton, ML3 0LU.

Phone 0800 030 4333 or e-mail ero@lanarkshirevjb.gov.uk. To vote, eligible voters must be registered by April 18.

If you won’t be able to go to a polling station on May 5, and you are registered to vote, you can apply for a postal or proxy vote using the About MyVote web site.
