Driver is accused

A Rutherglen man has appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court court accused of driving while almost three times the legal limit.

Derek Malone, 28, of Overlea Avenue, was stopped by police on Greenside Drive in the town in November where he allegedly failed to cooperate with officers.

A later breath test allegedly found Malone had 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 22.

Malone denied the charges when he appeared on Wednesday, April 13.
