Two people were allegedly assaulted by a Castlemilk man, Glasgow Sheriff Court heard last week.

Daniel James Simpson appeared before the court charged with assaulting a man and woman at Ardencraig Quadrant on June 28 last year.

The 33 year old denied repeatedly punching and kicking both victims during the hearing on Monday, April 11.

Simpson, of Ardencraig Drive, will return to court to stand trial on May 10.

A Castlemilk woman will stand trial next month to answer a drug supply charge.

Jacqueline Wilson is accused of being in possession of class A drug diamorphin­e with intent to supply it to others on July 15, 2015.

The 39 year old pleaded not guilty to the offence - said to have occurred on Dougrie Road, Glasgow - when she appeared at the city’s sheriff court on Tuesday, April 12.

Wilson, of Stravanan Road, is due to stand trial on May 9.
