Two peo­ple were al­legedly as­saulted by a Castlemilk man, Glas­gow Sher­iff Court heard last week.

Daniel James Simp­son ap­peared be­fore the court charged with as­sault­ing a man and woman at Ar­den­craig Quad­rant on June 28 last year.

The 33 year old de­nied re­peat­edly punch­ing and kick­ing both vic­tims dur­ing the hear­ing on Mon­day, April 11.

Simp­son, of Ar­den­craig Drive, will re­turn to court to stand trial on May 10.

A Castlemilk woman will stand trial next month to an­swer a drug sup­ply charge.

Jac­que­line Wil­son is ac­cused of be­ing in pos­ses­sion of class A drug di­amor­phine with in­tent to sup­ply it to oth­ers on July 15, 2015.

The 39 year old pleaded not guilty to the of­fence - said to have oc­curred on Dougrie Road, Glas­gow - when she ap­peared at the city’s sher­iff court on Tues­day, April 12.

Wil­son, of Stra­vanan Road, is due to stand trial on May 9.
