- Staff reporter

Barnardo’s Scotland are asking people across Lanarkshire to spring clean their wardrobes to raise vital funds for the most disadvantaged children in the country.

The charity, which has a shop on Rutherglen Main Street, are appealing for clothing, footwear and accessories like jewellery, belts and handbags.

Martin Crewe, Barnardo’s Scotland director, said: “Each year we are overwhelmed by the volume and quality of donations kind-hearted people bring to our shops.

“With their continued support we can ensure that the funds raised will help transform the lives of those children who desperately need our help and support.”

Instead of throwing things away, you can give them to Barnardo’s to raise cash to help the most disadvantaged children in the UK.

The popular spring clean event is one of the most important annual fundraisers for the children’s charity.
