Looking for new Friends

Friends of Cambuslang Park are on the lookout for new members.

The popular group are appealing for “new blood”to supplement their current membership.

They are also actively seeking a new secretary.

A spokesperson for the group said fresh ideas were required to “maintain the momentum” they had built up over the years.

They added: “We have always thrived on being a friendly group and a warm welcome is extended to newcomers at our monthly meetings, and at our various events throughout the year.

“Involving the community is also required and we are, of course, a community-based group. We know from positive feedback at our events that people find the park is a great place to go.”

The group’s next event will be a quiz night in Whitefield Bowling Club on April 22.

That will be followed by their AGM on April 26 in Cambuslang Institute and a park clean-up on April 30.
