195th BB com­pany cel­e­brate suc­cess

The past cou­ple of weeks have been a busy time for the 195th Boys’ Bri­gade com­pany.

Three of their se­nior boys - Lewis Gem­mell, Keir Wil­son Sim and Alexander Ful­ton - were pre­sented with their Pres­i­dent’s badges at West and Ward­lawhill Church.

Then, the ju­nior sec­tion were sec­ond in Cathkin District’s foot­ball league, miss­ing out the top place to the 118 only on goal dif­fer­ence.

They did, how­ever, win the district’s knock­out cup com­pe­ti­tion, beat­ing the 118 2-1 af­ter ex­tra time.

Not to be out­done, the com­pany sec­tion ju­nior foot­ball team, helped by boys from the 131 Stonelaw and 229 Cam­bus­lang com­pa­nies, won the Glas­gow Bat­tal­ion league and the knock­out cup.

The In­ter­me­di­ate team also won the knock­out cup and are well placed to win­ner their league.
