A Lanarkshire theatre group are set to tread the boards this year with three fantastic productions.
Starstruck Productions (SSP), who have moved base from Larkhall to Hamilton, have just celebrated their sixth birthday.
Anthony Burnside, founder of Starstruck Productions, said:“We have moved from Larkhall to Hamilton to reach more people. Now we have students and members from all over Lanarkshire and as far as Edinburgh who travel each week to our rehearsals and classes.”
Those looking to join Starstruck can book in to take part in an eight-week workshop for Grease The Musical, which will be held each Sunday, beginning April 24.
Later this year in June, auditions will be held for Cinderella Panto, for a performance to take place in early December. Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 25, 3pm-6pm and on Sunday, June 26, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
In September this year SSP will kick off SSP Juniors with Donna Clelland. Donna, principal of SSP JR, said:“SSP JR is a new department of SSP offering advanced training to young people between the ages of three and 12-13. They come together to experience and learn about music and drama under the guidance of staff drawn from freelance professionals. They will rehearse once every week for a period of three months, twice a year, with a production at the end of the second term.”
