Children enjoy Zumba classes – and smoothies

-

Kids at Cairns Nursery were feeling healthy with a special series of events last week.

The class held a health week which includes a variety of activities within the facility.

These included smoothie making, fruit tasting and a visit from the oral educator.

The children also took part in Zumba classes in partnership with parents and carers.

There was even a healthy teddy bears picnic.

Michelle Burns, team leader at the nursery, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Cambuslang and Rutherglen home school partnership for all their help.

“Also a big thank you to the Cambuslang Co-op and Debbie Hicky, the community liaison person for the donation of fruit and water.

“Also a big thank you to Christine Reid and Myla for providing Zumba classes for the children.”
