Cash boost for Summerfest
Cambuslang’s biggest street party summerfest had a welcome cash boost this month.
Birrell Corrance Funeral Directors Ltd donated £300 to the annual celebration, while councillor Walter Brogan handed over a cheque for £50.
This year’s summerfest gets underway on the Main street on June 18 and will see the uK’s number one tribute to Little Mix headline the event.
The top girl band will be joined by singers sharon Nimmo and Pauline grant on the main stage, as well as local dance school Dance Elite.
summerfest is the biggest day of the year for Cambuslang, offering up a fun jamboree.
The award-winning community event features an array of live music, dance performances and the presentation of community awards to many deserving recipients.
