Cash boost for Sum­mer­fest

Cam­bus­lang’s big­gest street party sum­mer­fest had a wel­come cash boost this month.

Bir­rell Cor­rance Funeral Direc­tors Ltd do­nated £300 to the an­nual cel­e­bra­tion, while coun­cil­lor Wal­ter Bro­gan handed over a cheque for £50.

This year’s sum­mer­fest gets un­der­way on the Main street on June 18 and will see the uK’s num­ber one trib­ute to Lit­tle Mix head­line the event.

The top girl band will be joined by singers sharon Nimmo and Pauline grant on the main stage, as well as lo­cal dance school Dance Elite.

sum­mer­fest is the big­gest day of the year for Cam­bus­lang, of­fer­ing up a fun jam­boree.

The award-win­ning com­mu­nity event fea­tures an ar­ray of live mu­sic, dance per­for­mances and the pre­sen­ta­tion of com­mu­nity awards to many de­serv­ing re­cip­i­ents.
