Toryglen store backs care campaign

-

Asda Toryglen is lending its support to another worthy charity this week by supporting the Breast Cancer Care strawberry Tea campaign.

The store’s Elizabeth Arbuckle joined scottish singer and presenter Michelle McManus for the glasgow launch of the campaign, which encourages people to host a strawberry tea and raise money for the lifeline charity.

Their first year supporting the campaign, Asda stores across glasgow will, between June 4 to June 18, host a strawberry Tea stall, with activities for customers to get involved, including cupcake decorating and a teapot lucky dip.

There will also be information on how the public can join in and host their own strawberry Tea, as well as background about the charity and the much needed services it provides.

All money raised will help Breast Cancer Care provide support for women, men, family and friends affected by breast cancer.

Elizabeth Arbuckle, community champion at Asda Toryglen, said: “We are delighted to support Breast Cancer Care’s strawberry Tea campaign. The money raised through strawberry Teas makes a real difference to people affected by breast cancer. our colleagues and customers across scotland have always been incredibly supportive of our fundraising activities and I know this time will be no different.”
