Summer gala days

The dates have been confirmed for a series of fun days in communities across South Lanarkshire this summer.

Rutherglen’s Landemar Day kicks off the events this Saturday, June 4, with Cambuslang’s Summerfest being held on June 18.

A unique event to celebrate dads is being held the following day, June 19, at Hamilton Racecourse.

Dubbed Family Man Fun Day, the event has been billed as a free, fun way to enjoy Father’s Day and will include a tots and toddlers zone, creative play zone and get outdoors area.

Other events further afield include Blantyre Summer Gala Day on July 9 , Hillhouse Gala Day on August 27 and Fa i rh il l Fun Day on September 10.
