Groups handed grants

The fol­low­ing com­mu­nity groups and or­gan­i­sa­tions in the lo­cal area have been handed grants by Glas­gow City Coun­cil:

Miller Pri­mary School, bus hire for two class out­ings to M&D’s and Heads of Ayr in June 2016 for 199 pupils – £500.

Denise Wal­lace School of Dance, to­wards the cost of trans­port and ac­com­mo­da­tion for 25 dancers par­tic­i­pat­ing in the Bri­tish Cham­pi­onships in Wales – £1,000.

Castlemilk Fam­ily Learn­ing Cen­tre, to­wards the cost of de­vel­op­ing out­door space to en­hance the learn­ing ex­pe­ri­ence of many chil­dren, with­out ac­cess to gar­den space at home – £4,860.

Croft­foot United Free Church of Scot­land, to­wards the cost of hold­ing a com­mu­nity event in the church and grounds on Satur­day, Septem­ber 17 – £1,200.

Christ the King over 50s club, bus hire for trip to Perth in July 2016 for 24 mem­bers – £250.

Castlemilk Par­ish Church Guild, bus hire for trip to Largs and Green­bank Gar­den Cen­tre on June 27 for 17 mem­bers – £130.

Glas­gow Life, Glas­gow Com­mu­ni­ties, South East team – Glen­croft Play club, to run a sum­mer hol­i­day pi­lot pro­gramme in July and Au­gust op­er­at­ing three days a week in Glen­croft Com­mu­nity hall for 20 chil­dren aged five-11 – £1,750.
