Cub Scouts celebrate their centenary at adventure camp

-

Almost 90 Cub Scouts from the South East District attended the Centenary Adventure Camp over last month.

They joined in with more than 880 Cub Scouts from the Clyde Region to celebrate the Cubs 100th birthday year.

During the weekend the boys and girls, aged between eight and 11, joined in a massive range of outdoor activities and challenges and returned full of fascinating stories to their families.

At the camp fire on the Saturday night the whole camp site, plus leaders and the camp site staff, enjoyed a rousing round of songs and joined in the Running Man Challenge - challenging Scouts Scotland and the Guides and Boys’Brigade to beat their attempt.

The adventure camp is one of the many activities arranged by the volunteer leaders over this year, which will culminate in the Kings Theatre being taken over by the Cub section in December to renew their promise and enjoy the Panto.
