-

Glencairn .............. 1 Clydebank............. 1 Glencairn drew their penultimate game of the season with Clydebank.

The home side made five changes to the starting line-up and there was space on the team sheet for four of the under-21 team, including a debut for Njabulo Ndlovu in the centre of the pitch.

It was Clydebank’s final match of the season and they needed a win to keep alive their promotion hopes.

On 19 minutes Hutchison made a superb save down low to deny Stevie Young before The Glens opened the scoring in the 25th minute. The ball was fed in from the right to Cullen, and his clever head flick set up Ryan Bennett, who held off his marker and fired past Lumsden at his near post.

Clydebank had noticeably upped the tempo after the interval and equalised in the 49th minute with a stroke of good fortune. Nicky Little’s, shot took a deflection and wrong- footed Hutchison as it rolled into the corner of the net. Holms went close in 75 minutes as he turned away from Dunnachie but he pulled his shot across goal and wide.

Burbidge went close to stealing a late winner for the home side but his goal-bound shot took a deflection and flew wide.
