Family hope

-

The family of Cambuslang teenager Chloe Duffin, who suffers from a rare syndrome that causes facial abnormalities, have raised nearly £100,000 for charity.

They now want to bring American sufferers of Goldenhar Syndrome to the UK.

A big lunch is being planned for Overtoun Park.

The Overtoun Community Growing Project are set to hold a Big Lunch event in Overtoun Park on Sunday, June 12, from 1pm onwards.

There will be activities for children including a storytelling session from storyteller Amanda Edminston from Botanica Fabula ( http:// www. botanicafabula.co.uk/), seed bomb-making, and arts and crafts.

The Big Lunch is a simple idea from the Eden Project.

Its aim is to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours and/or the wider community annually on a Sunday in June in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.

Residents going are advised to take lunch and food to share if you would like to, and table and chairs/ picnic blanket if possible.

A limited number of tables and chairs are available.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
