Rutherglen Old Parish Church will be open from 10am onwards on Landemer Day, this Saturday, June 11.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be available at £2, and filled rolls at £1.30 will be available in our tearooms.

They have full access, and toilet facilities, for the less able bodied.

Locals are asked to go along and“enjoy some calm time in pleasant surroundin­gs.”

The church’s sanctuary will be open for those who want to rest and be quiet for while.

Rutherglen Old Parish Church will also be open from noon until 2pm each Thursday when anyyone is welcome to visit and find out about the church’s 1,400 year history.

Croftfoot Parish Church are holding healing sessions every Friday from 1.30pm until 3pm.

The sessions are aimed at helping anyone who is under pressure, burdened or feeling depressed, as well as those suffering from sickness of any kind.

Anyone visiting the church will be offered tea or coffee, during which time a couple of trained team members will be praying for God’s guidance prior to meeting with a person.

They will then listen to the person’s request, in privacy and with confidenti­ality, before praying for healing in Jesus’name.

Rutherglen West and Wardlawhil­l Church’s garden team meet every Saturday morning from 9.30am until midday.

Anyone wanting to take part is welcome to go along and help out.

Their weekly friendship cafe offers a warm welcome.

The cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am-noon in West and Wardlawhil­l Parish Church in Western Avenue.

Stonelaw Parish Church invite the local community into the building with the Cafe @ the Meeting Place being open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

A selection of teas and coffees are available along with home baking and there is a second-hand book stall. Toryglen Parish Church have a host of events coming up over the next few months. The church’s car boot sales continue on the last Saturday of each month from noon until 3pm in the Cornerston­e Hall.

Due to the ongoing unavailabi­lity of the car park, these are being held indoors and have become more of a craft market/high end table top sale.

Matt’s Minstrels will take place on the third Saturday in June and is a music night with a group of friends who play folk, Scottish and Gospel songs.

Tickets are on sale at £2.50 and include tea and biscuits and a packet of Minstrels.

The church also plans to hold a summer BBQ.

This will take place on Saturday, July 16 at 6pm.

Cambuslang Parish Church’s community cafe is open every Wednesday.

The organisers invite the local community to go along and enjoy a drink and a tasty snack in warm, comfortabl­e surroundin­gs each week.

Burnside Blairbeth Church are running a service on the first Saturday of every month in the Rodger Memorial building in Kirkriggs Avenue.

Messy Church is aimed at families.

It starts with an hour of crafts and games, where those taking part might get messy, and is followed by a celebratio­n with a Bible story and singing, finishing with a two-course meal together. Croftfoot United Free Church’s bible study group are now meeting on Thursday afternoons.

They are also now offering study group sessions at the manse at 2pm and running for an hour each week.

The topic is“If you want to walk on water you’ve got to get out of the boat!”

They also continue to hold their T in the Croft every Friday, offering tea and coffee from 10am to noon.

All are welcome and entry is with a donation.

Flemington Hallside Church continues to welcome the public to its community cafe each week from noon until 2pm on Thursdays.
