The Ruther­glen Dis­trict Bowl­ing As­so­ci­a­tion (RDBA) Gilliland league team played away to Over­toun BC on Tuesday, May 31 and lost 18 shots to six.

The Gilliland League sec­tions have now all been played and the sec­tion A win­ners, St Leonard’s BC, will play sec­tion B win­ners, Kingswood BC, on Fri­day June 17, 6.30pm, at Cam­bus­lang BC.

In the Cam­bus­lang Dis­trict Se­niors Rinks League, two rinks played away against White­field BC and won one and lost an­other game on June 1.

The club will play at home this morn­ing, Wed­nes­day, 10.30am against Kirkhill BC.

Saturday, June 4, saw the re­newal of Cam­bus­lang BC’s an­nual spon­sored triples which is al­ways a pop­u­lar event on the cal­en­dar for mem­bers and vis­i­tors alike.

This year 20 teams con­tested the ti­tle which was won on the day by a triple from Cam­bus­lang BC con­sist­ing of Jim Page, John McLaugh­lin and Brian Page who fought through after an ex­tra end against an Ud­ston team con­sist­ing of Jim McI­nall, Craig Gor­don and Scott McI­nall. Con­grat­u­la­tions to the win­ners.

The club thanks Jimmy Lind­say and John McKil­lop for their help sell­ing raf­fles which saw a sig­nif­i­cant ben­e­fit to the club. The mem­bers and friends of Cam­bus­lang BC also pass on their sin­cere thanks to this year’s spon­sor, their very own Hon.Pres­i­dent Ian Skillen.

On Mon­day, June 6, the evening’s points game was won by a triple con­sist­ing of David Al­li­son, Stan Clark and Richard McI­nall Se­nior (skip), 11 up.

The club’s ladies have a rinks tour­na­ment on Saturday, June 11, at 10am

The sched­uled Bal­loted Pairs Com­pe­ti­tion on June 12 is can­celled.
