The Rutherglen District Bowling Associatio­n (RDBA) Gilliland league team played away to Overtoun BC on Tuesday, May 31 and lost 18 shots to six.

The Gilliland League sections have now all been played and the section A winners, St Leonard’s BC, will play section B winners, Kingswood BC, on Friday June 17, 6.30pm, at Cambuslang BC.

In the Cambuslang District Seniors Rinks League, two rinks played away against Whitefield BC and won one and lost another game on June 1.

The club will play at home this morning, Wednesday, 10.30am against Kirkhill BC.

Saturday, June 4, saw the renewal of Cambuslang BC’s annual sponsored triples which is always a popular event on the calendar for members and visitors alike.

This year 20 teams contested the title which was won on the day by a triple from Cambuslang BC consisting of Jim Page, John McLaughlin and Brian Page who fought through after an extra end against an Udston team consisting of Jim McInall, Craig Gordon and Scott McInall. Congratula­tions to the winners.

The club thanks Jimmy Lindsay and John McKillop for their help selling raffles which saw a significan­t benefit to the club. The members and friends of Cambuslang BC also pass on their sincere thanks to this year’s sponsor, their very own Hon.President Ian Skillen.

On Monday, June 6, the evening’s points game was won by a triple consisting of David Allison, Stan Clark and Richard McInall Senior (skip), 11 up.

The club’s ladies have a rinks tournament on Saturday, June 11, at 10am

The scheduled Balloted Pairs Competitio­n on June 12 is cancelled.
