£2.5m land deal sealed

The largest plot at the Rutherglen Links business site has been bought in a multimilli­on pound deal.

Harris Finance have snapped up the 12- acre plot C at Rutherglen Links Business Park from Clyde Gateway.

The deal, which will see 30,000 sq ft of industrial/ hybrid units being built, is worth around £2.5million.

It is hoped the developmen­t could eventually support 55 jobs once businesses move in.

Harris Finance have purchased the land for “speculativ­e build purposes.”

Based in Bridgeton, the company hav e already brought 50 jobs to the Clyde Gateway area through speculativ­ely built commercial properties.
