Busy summer ahead for kids church clubs

The school holidays have arrived, and some of the local churches in Rutherglen and Cambuslang are set to offer up entertainm­ent for kids with summer clubs.

One of the first up are Croftfoot United Reform Church.

They will holding a club on Monday, July 4, Tuesday, July 5, and Wednesday, July 6, from 10.30am through until 12.30pm.

All are invited to pop up and join in with the fun, which will include ice cream, Crafts Bible stories, dances songs and games.

Flemington Hallside Church will also be busy, along with Cambuslang Parish Church.

They’ve announced the dates of two clubs, which will run at the start of August.

For Primary 1 to Primary 7 pupils there will be the Showstoppe­rs club, from Monday, August 1, through until Friday, August 5.

That will take place from 10am until noon in the main building at Cambuslang Parish Church.

And the Flemington Hallside building will host Three Day Thing, from August 1 to August 3. This is for S1 to S4 pupils. It will run from 2pm until 4pm each day, and places can be booked in advance by contacting alisonjane­kennedy@gmail. com

Croftfoot Parish Church will present their Rise and Shine club for children this year from Monday, August 8, through until Friday, August 12.

This year, the Scripture Union’s holiday club material is entitled Guardians of Ancora which is based on a free Christian game app for children.

Lastly Stonelaw Parish Church’s annual holiday club will be taking place in their halls from Monday, August 8, through until Friday, August 12.

This is for any child who has been in P1 - P7 during the year 2015-2016.

The club is called Showstoppe­rs and the club organisers are promising to have fun through the creative arts, while discoverin­g God’s great plan for the world using drama, dance, music, photograph­y and art.

Any children will be very welcome to come, but the club ask that if possible you book in advance by returning a form to them.

The form is available through e-mailing info@stonelawch­urch.org Entry is free. Lastly King’s Park Church will be holding an evening holiday club, also with the Showstoppe­rs theme, at the end of August.

It will run from Monday, August 22, to Friday, August 26.
