Tickets are currently on sale for a concert at Fernhill and Cathkin Church, which will be taking place on September 2.

Studio 32 are performing on the night from 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 and can be bought by calling Bridie Kelly on 0141 533 2684.

Croftfoot United Free Church’s popular T in the Croft tea and coffee mornings, which are held every Friday, have now stopped for a summer break.

They’ll resume the mornings, which provide tea, cofffee, home baking and a good old fashioned chat, on Friday September 2. Castlemilk Parish Church’s official opening of their new building is drawing closer. They’ll move in during August, with the formal opening taking place on September 4 at 2pm.

And they are having several events to say farewell to their old building.

This Sunday, July 3, the praise band Reachout will perform.

The concert starts at 7pm, with a cup of tea and home baking taking place afterwards.

The church will also hold a farewell open day to the building on Saturday July 30, from 10 until 4pm.

It’s a chance for people to say goodbye to the building before it moves.

Cambuslang Parish Church cafe will close for the months of July and August.

The last cafe date before the summer holidays will be today, Wednesday June 29, and it will re-open on Wednesday September 7.

Toryglen Parish Church have a host of events coming up over the next few months.

The church’s car boot sales continue on the last Saturday of each month from noon until 3pm in the Cornerston­e Hall.

Due to the ongoing unavailabi­lity of the car park, these are being held indoors and have become more of a craft market/high-end table top sale.

The church also plans to hold a summer BBQ.

This will take place on Saturday, July 16 at 6pm.

Anyone wanting to take part is welcome to go along and help out.

Their weekly friendship cafe offers a warm welcome.

The cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am-noon in West and Wardlawhil­l Parish Church in Western Avenue.

Stonelaw Parish Church invite the local community into the building with the Cafe @ the Meeting Place being open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

A selection of teas and coffees are available along with home baking and there is a second-hand book stall.

Flemington Hallside Church continues to welcome the

public to its community cafe each week from noon until 2pm on Thursdays.

Rutherglen Old Parish Church will be open from noon until 2pm each Thursday when anyone is welcome to visit and find out about the church’s 1,400 year history.

Croftfoot Parish Church are holding healing sessions every Friday from 1.30pm until 3pm.

The sessions are aimed at helping anyone who is under pressure, burdened or feeling depressed, as well as those suffering from sickness of any kind.

Anyone visiting the church will be offered tea or coffee, during which time a couple of trained team members will be praying for God’s guidance prior to meeting with a person.

They will then listen to the person’s request, in privacy and with confidenti­ality, before praying for healing in Jesus’ name.

Burnside Blairbeth Church are running a service on the first Saturday of every month in the Rodger Memorial building in Kirkriggs Avenue.

Messy Church is aimed at families.

It starts with an hour of crafts and games, where those taking part might get messy, and is followed by a celebratio­n with a Bible story and singing, finishing with a two-course meal together.
