Stonelaw Parish Church’s annual holiday club will be taking place in their halls from Monday, August 8, through until Friday, August 12.

This is for any child who has been in primary school during the year 2015/16.

All youngsters are welcome but it is advised to book in advance by emailing info@ stonelawch­urch.org

Stonelaw Parish Church invite the local community into the building with the Cafe @ the Meeting Place being open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

A selection of teas and coffees are available along with home baking and there is a secondhand book stall. Summer clubs will take place in Flemington Hallside and Cambuslang Parish Church at the start of August. For primary pupils there will be the Showstoppe­rs club, from Monday, August 1, through until Friday, August 5.

That will take place from 10am until noon in the main building at Cambuslang Parish Church.

And the Flemington Hallside building will host Three Day Thing, from August 1 to August 3. This is for S1 to S4 pupils. It will run from 2pm until 4pm each day, and places can be booked in advance by contacting alisonjane­kennedy@ gmail.com

Flemington Hallside Church continues to welcome the public to its community cafe each week from noon until 2pm on Thursdays. Croftfoot Parish Church will also present their Rise and Shine club for children this year from Monday, August 8, through until Friday, August 12.

Croftfoot Parish Church are holding healing sessions every Friday from 1.30pm until 3pm.

The sessions are aimed at helping anyone who is under pressure, burdened or feeling depressed, as well as those suffering from sickness of any kind.

Anyone visiting the church will be offered tea or coffee, during which time a couple of trained team members will be praying for God’s guidance prior to meeting with a person.

They will then listen to the person’s request, in privacy and with confidenti­ality, before praying for healing in Jesus’ name.

Tickets are currently on sale for a concert at Fernhill and Cathkin Church, which will be taking place on Friday, September 2.

Studio 32 are performing on the night from 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 and can be bought by calling Bridie Kelly on 0141 533 2684.

Toryglen Parish Church will hold their summer BBQ this Saturday (July 16)

The fun and food will start at 6pm.

They also have a host of events coming up over the next few months.

The church’s car boot sales continue on the last Saturday of each month from noon until 3pm in the Cornerston­e Hall.

Due to the ongoing unavailabi­lity of the car park, these are being held indoors and have become more of a craft market/high-end table top sale.

Castlemilk Parish Church will hold a farewell open day to their old building on Saturday, July 30, from 10am until 4pm.

It’s a chance for people to say goodbye to the building before they move.

Rutherglen West and Wardlawhil­l Church’s garden team meet every Saturday morning from 9.30am until midday.

Anyone wanting to take part is welcome to go along and help out.

Their weekly friendship cafe offers a warm welcome.

The cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am-noon in West and Wardlawhil­l Parish Church in Western Avenue. Rutherglen Old Parish Church will be open from noon until 2pm each Thursday when anyone is welcome to visit and find out about the church’s 1,400 year history.

Burnside Blairbeth Church are running a service on the first Saturday of every month in the Rodger Memorial building in Kirkriggs Avenue.

Messy Church is aimed at families.

It starts with an hour of crafts and games, where those taking part might get messy, and is followed by a celebratio­n with a Bible story and singing, finishing with a two-course meal together.
