Castlemilk Parish Church will hold a farewell open day at their old building this Saturday, July 30, from 10am until 4pm.

It is a chance for people to say goodbye to the building before they move to their new premises.

Summer clubs will take place in Flemington Hallside and Cambuslang Parish Church at the start of August.

For primary pupils there will be the Showstoppe­rs club from Monday to Friday, August 1-5.

That will take place from 10am until noon in the main building at Cambuslang Parish Church.

Places can be booked by emailing gilliancah­ill@ flemington­hallside.org.

And the Flemington Hallside building will host Three Day Thing from August 1 to August 3 for S1 to S4 pupils.

It will run from 2pm until 4pm each day and places can be booked by contacting alisonjane­kennedy@gmail. com.

Flemington Hallside Church holds a community cafe each Thursday from noon until 2pm.

Burnside Blairbeth Church are holding a holiday club for children from Monday August 8 until Friday August 12 in the Rodger memorial building on Kirkriggs Avenue, from 10am until noon each day.

Children who have completed primary one to seven will be very welcome.

Burnside Blairbeth Church’s popular Messy Church service has had a change of date for August.

Usually the church runs on the first Saturday of every month and is aimed at families.

It starts with an hour of crafts and games and is followed by a celebratio­n with a Bible story and singing, finishing with a two-course meal together.

However, the August service has been delayed until Saturday, August 13. Croftfoot Parish Church will present their Rise and Shine club for children from Monday to Friday, August 8-12.

A Family Fun day will be held on August 27 from noon until 3pm.

Admittance is free to this event.

The church also intends to run another Alpha Course in the autumn, and again there will be more informatio­n nearer the time. Stonelaw Parish Church’s annual holiday club will take place in their halls from Monday to Friday, August 8-12.

This is for any child who has been in primary school during the year 2015/16.

All youngsters are welcome but places should be booked by emailing info@stonelawch­urch. org or by picking up registrati­on forms from the Cafe@The Meeting Place on Stonelaw Road from Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm or downloadin­g them from the church website at www. stonelawch­urch.org

The church’s Cafe @ the Meeting Place is open to all Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Tea and coffee are available, along with home baking, and there is a second-hand book stall. King’s Park Church’s holiday club will take place from August 22 until August 26. It will be called Showstoppe­rs.

Rutherglen Old Parish Church is open from noon until 2pm each Thursday, when anyone is welcome to visit and find out about the church’s 1,400-year history.

Tickets are on sale for a concert at Fernhill and Cathkin Church on Friday, September 2. Studio 32 are performing from 7.30pm.

Toryglen Parish Church’s car boot sales continue on the last Saturday of each month from noon until 3pm in the Cornerston­e Hall.

Due to the ongoing unavailabi­lity of the car park, these are being held indoors and have become more of a craft market/high-end table top sale.

Rutherglen West and Wardlawhil­l Church’s garden team meet every Saturday morning from 9.30am until noon.

Anyone who wants to take part is welcome to go along and help out.

Their weekly friendship cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am-noon in West and Wardlawhil­l Parish Church in Western Avenue.
