MOD gun charge

Three men have denied trespassing on Ministry of Defence land while holding a firearm.

David Armstrong, James Cooke and Stephen Clark from Cambuslang were allegedly on MOD-owned land near Dechmont Firing Range, Gilbertfield Road, on June 11, 2015.

Armstrong, 25, of Helmsdale Court, Cooke, 23, of Lancroft Drive, and Clark, 23, of Quarry Avenue, are accused of having no valid excuse for being there.

They denied the charge when they appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 26. They will stand trial on September 2.
