Helpline opened

Young people disappointed with their exam results are being encouraged to call a dedicated helpline.

Skills Development Scotland opened the helpline at 8am yesterday, August 9, to highlight the range of options open to students.

Their career advisers have access to information on course vacancies at UK colleges and universities, confirmation and clearing, advice about modern or foundation apprenticeships and employment.

The helpline number is 0808 100 8000 and it will be open from 8am to 8pm today, August 10, and from 9am to 5pm until August 17.

Parents who would like additional advice are also encouraged to call the helpline.
