Enjoy a cup of tea with your MSP

Residents of the Rutherglen community are being given the chance to meet their local MSP at a special event organised by West and Wardlawhill Church.

Clare Haughey MSP will visit the church’s Friendship Cafe on Tuesday, August 23, to enjoy a cuppa, home baking and a chat with members of the congregation.

Residents are invited along to ask questions about issues affecting them in a relaxed setting.

The event, which is non-political, is part of the Scottish Churches Parliamentary Office’s (SCPO) Meet Your MSP programme which aims to build links between congregations and their recently elected members of the Scottish Parliament.

All 129 MSPs have been contacted by SCPO who say the response has been “overwhelmingly positive.”
