Volunteers wanted for CamGlen radio

CamGlen Radio are on the lookout for new volunteers.

The station is run by a number of volunteers from the community, both behind the mic and behind the scenes.

By volunteering, they pick up a range of skills and meet like-minded people.

It is also great fun and helps build confidence.

Anyone interested should be willing to commit some regular time each week and be interested and enthusiastic.

Priority is given to residents of Rutherglen, Cambuslang and the surrounding area.

On their website, CamGlen say: “Without volunteers the station would cease to exist as local people are involved in every facet – from producing radio programmes, to providing technical support, presenting programmes, providing broadcast assistance and much more.

“Why not join our team? We have volunteers from every age and background: this is how we ensure that CamGlen Radio is made for the community, by the community. Many of our volunteers had little or no radio experience until they came here, so you need not have experience.”
