Three cousins start school together

-

Three cousins who were christened on the same day in 2011 enjoyed their first day of school together last week.

Ariana McTaggart, Mollie Jackson and Ciaran Jackson joined St Bride’s Primary School in Cambuslang on Monday, August 15.

The trio, born within five weeks of each other, were excited to enter the classroom, with the two girls in one class and Ciaran in another.

They shared the milestone with their beloved grandfather Frank Jackson.

“It’s delightful they can share these milestones together,” Frank told the Reformer.

“I walked two of them to school and I couldn’t keep up with them, they couldn’t wait to get to school.

“They have great personalities and it’s great fun watching them together.

“Their older cousin Katie is eight. She’s at St Bride’s and she looks after them all. They all get on like a house on fire, thankfully.”

Frank, who lives in Hamilton Drive, was over the moon in 2011 when all three of his children had kids of their own.

Daughter Monica McTaggart and her husband Steven were first to welcome Ariana to the family, with son Gary and daughter-in-law Paula welcoming Mollie four weeks later. Just one week after that Ciaran, the son of Dominic Jackson and his partner Kelly Johnstone, was born.

Monica has since given birth to two-year-old Aaron.
